Ghost Train Haze earned its reputation with sour flower and an unusually forceful high. The spooky name is almost redundant. Rare Dankness founder Scott “Moonshine” Reach crossed a Ghost OG female with a Nevil’s Wreck male, creating the sativa-dominant hybrid known as Ghost Train Haze #1.
Sharp citrus and floral Haze aromas mix with earth, spice, and an underlying OG pungency. The sourness carries into the flavor, giving the sweetness a tart edge. Dense, heavily frosted flower adds to the appeal, but this one made its name on more than looks: #1 took first place in the US Sativa category at the 2014 High Times Cannabis Cup.
Rare Dankness also developed other numbered Ghost Train releases using different OG selections. Those belong to the same breeding series, but they aren’t all the original Ghost OG cross.
Its following describes Ghost Train Haze as energetic, euphoric, and intensely uplifting. Some find that stimulation creative or focusing; others find it racy. “Let’s get something done” can turn into three ambitious ideas before you’ve found a pen. The enthusiasm is real. Finishing the project remains your department.
Rare Dankness lists Ghost Train Haze #1 at 65–80 days of flowering, roughly nine to eleven and a half weeks. Both regular and feminized releases have been offered.
Plants can grow tall and vigorously, producing dense flowers with substantial trichome coverage. Allow room for stretch when planning the canopy. Yield descriptions are generally generous, though a dependable numerical figure isn’t established across all selections.
Outdoor cultivation suits locations with enough warmth and season length to finish the flowering cycle. The breeder’s resin emphasis also makes this a line of interest for extraction, but visible frost alone doesn’t establish a particular cut’s wash yield.
